2022 Cognex Prize Winners

During the 2022 MIT MIMO Symposium, MIT graduate students presented their research on applications of AI, ML, and advanced analytics to manufacturing and operations at the Cognex Prize Poster Competition. The posters showcased state-of-the-art use cases for these technologies in industry, offering a unique opportunity to discover novel approaches to intelligent operations. Both audience members and a panel of industry experts had the chance to vote on prize winners.

Four awards were issued after tallying the votes:

    • $5,000 award
  • Runner Up Award
    • Second highest score across all judges and categories
    • $2,000 award
  • Most Impactful Award
    • Highest Score across grading category “impact”
    • $1,500 award
  • Fan Favorite Award
    • Most attendee votes
    • $1,500 award
